Roly-Poly Witch

From the Leisure Arts “Free Pattern Friday’s” comes this roly-poly witch.  Their example has her on a sweatshirt.  A great decoration for the upcoming Halloween holiday.

Seed Planting Time

Here are some cute seed packet designs to put together.  They are from Leisure Arts and if you go here you can follow their instructions to get the PDF for these.  Scroll down until you see, “GARDEN FRESH SEED PACKETS”.

I like the way they used them to adorn a wreath for a spring door decoration.

Hope the weather matches the fact that it is officially Spring!

Winter Sampler

For a long time I’ve loved how the Leisure Arts magazine pattern from February 1993 was used by Carol, the creator of “Stitching Dreams” and The World’s Largest Collection of  Smalls TOO” Since it was an old magazine I just started searching for it and after a couple of searches I found the pattern itself!  Here is the link to one of Carols examples (scroll down to see it).  You can go here to see her other one.

Here is how I worked mine up.  Like her I stitched it on 28 count evenweave, 1 over 1, so it’s very small, only 1 2/2 inch tall by 3 inches long. I made the sleigh out of balsa wood.

What a delight to find Leisure Arts “Winter Sampler“.  The whole pattern is wonderful and other parts could be used in the same way that Carol demonstrates.

Have a great weekend.
