Christmas Tree

Lesley Teare reminded us this week not to forget that there are free Christmas designs on her blog.

Here is one.

She has a Christmas Angel here, a Woodland Owl here, or how about a beautiful Christmas wreath, here? There are others so go take a look through Lesley’s blog.

Have a warm weekend!

Christmas Stitching

Time to get started on some Christmas stitching and Herrschners has this free download on their web site.

You can buy individual music box kits from them that come with a chart, or you could use the pattern for a box that you already own. Just follow this link and click on the Download option next to the image.

Have fun with it!

Christmas Stocking

I managed to finish up another tree ornament this week.  It’s quite small (1 3/4 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches tall).  I stitched it 1 over 1 on 28 count evenweave.

This really cute cross stitch stocking comes from Cross Stitching Guild via their Facebook page.  Just go here and check it out for yourself.  You will have to scroll down a bit to find it since it was posted on December 4th, 2015.  As you will see I changed mine a bit by making it all trees in the bottom section.

Have a great weekend and don’t get run over by any frantic shoppers.

Margaret Sherry Mice

This little guy is from the October 2014 issue of the World of Cross Stitching.

He is one of three that came with the issue as an insert that included the fabric and thread.  A fun stitch for a quick tree ornament.

I had picked this issue up in a local Barnes & Noble, but you can also get a subscription at several different places on-line.  It’s a great way to do a variety of stitchery’s and a free gift often comes with.

If you want a free Margaret Sherry Christmas stitchery, you can just hop on over here and click on the image of the “Waiting for Santa” kitten holding a stocking.  The chart is in .jpg format but easy to save.

Stay warm and have fun stitching!

Christmas House

Le Chalet des Perelles has a tradition of sharing a wonderful new chart every Christmas.

Noel 2014

Noel 2013 was adorable too but the link to the PDF is no longer working.  If you contact her she may be coaxed into sending it to you.

They are something to look forward to and this year is no exception.  Just go here to get your free PDF and make one for yourself.  Just look for the words, “Noel_2015”, and click!

Don’t allow yourself to get overly busy this week. Take some time for yourself.

All Dolled Up

Last night I finished this little Christmas stitchery by Little House Needleworks.  It’s called “All Dolled Up!”.  I stitched it exactly as recommended on 30 count Natural Linen, using Weeks Dye Works floss.  I haven’t had time to mount it but plan to put it on foam core board.  I love the type of lace used in the example and think I’ll find something similar.

It came together very quickly, so if it’s one you’ve been wanting to do this one, you could put it together in time for someone special.

Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by.
