Stitchery for my Sister

I finished this stitchery pattern from Luli that was on her site exactly one year ago.  You can get the chart for yourself by following the link in the first sentence. I just learned how to make my own cording using The Twisted Stitcher’s, My Tutorials from her blog. If you are on the fence about trying this, it’s easier than you might think and you’ll want to make cording for your own stitchery’s in the future. Thanks Vonna!

Edelweiss from Lesley Teare

Lesley Teare offers this lovely little flower as a freebie here.  I think her version is even prettier than the actual flower, so pretty that I couldn’t resist starting it right away.  It only took an evening plus to do it.  Hope you like it as much as I did.

Joy!

This freebie came from Home Stitchness back in November 2013.  It’s works as well today as it did then so go on over and grab this lovely chart in time to work it up for Christmas.

While there, go check out her NOEL too.

They will make up into wonder tree ornaments in no time!

Christmas Stocking

I managed to finish up another tree ornament this week.  It’s quite small (1 3/4 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches tall).  I stitched it 1 over 1 on 28 count evenweave.

This really cute cross stitch stocking comes from Cross Stitching Guild via their Facebook page.  Just go here and check it out for yourself.  You will have to scroll down a bit to find it since it was posted on December 4th, 2015.  As you will see I changed mine a bit by making it all trees in the bottom section.

Margaret Sherry Mice

This little guy is from the October 2014 issue of the World of Cross Stitching.

He is one of three that came with the issue as an insert that included the fabric and thread.  A fun stitch for a quick tree ornament.

I had picked this issue up in a local Barnes & Noble, but you can also get a subscription at several different places on-line.  It’s a great way to do a variety of stitchery’s and a free gift often comes with.

If you want a free Margaret Sherry Christmas stitchery, you can just hop on over here and click on the image of the “Waiting for Santa” kitten holding a stocking.  The chart is in .jpg format but easy to save.

Stay warm and have fun stitching!

Christmas House

Le Chalet des Perelles has a tradition of sharing a wonderful new chart every Christmas.

Noel 2014

Noel 2013 was adorable too but the link to the PDF is no longer working.  If you contact her she may be coaxed into sending it to you.

They are something to look forward to and this year is no exception.  Just go here to get your free PDF and make one for yourself.  Just look for the words, “Noel_2015”, and click!

Don’t allow yourself to get overly busy this week. Take some time for yourself.
