Back to School Freebie from DMC

This one is from a few years back but it’s just as charming today as it was then.  It comes from DMC Threads.

Here is an example of it all worked up that I found on Pinterest.  Just click on the image to go to where I found it on Pinterest. The chart is in jpg format where you see the words, “heart alphabet pattern”.

You will see a second stitchery offered on the same page that is also a nice one to have.

Ocean Theme

Here is a nice sampler from Carmela of an ocean theme. It’s a good way to wrap up summer especially if you were able to spend some time at your favorite beach.

Fall Leaves from The Gentle Art

The Gentle Art gives away this nice fall leaves pattern called Leaves, Leaves.  I’ve stitched it up this way.

They have several different versions of the leaves formatted in different layouts.  You can use one or multiple  versions to make your own pillow as I did.  Mine is very small only measuring 2 1/2 inches by 4 inches.  Since I had fall fabric around I matched my colors to the fabric.  It was fun to put together.

Live Simply

I found this .jpg on the net called ‘Live Simply’ by Hands to Work.  When I looked for the originator’s web site I could only find that the domain name was for sale.

 

But I also found an old post from Stitching Dreams (scroll a short distance down) where she had worked this pattern up and it is so pretty!   So, go take a look and see if you don’t agree that you too might need to work this one up for yourself.

I came across this cutest fall/pumpkin stitchery offered last year by Reve de fil

 

She gives you the link to the PDF where you see “The grid is here .‘   Go on over and see how she has done the pattern in a couple of different color schemes.

Whatever color scheme you pick, I’m sure it will turn out just as cute.
