Pont du Gard

Have you ever been to Pont du Gard in Vers-Pont-du-Gard, France?  It is an amazing three-level aqueduct built in the 1st century AD.  These are a couple of images we took when there in 2009.

If you’d like to stitch a neat stitchery of the aqueduct you can find this equally neat rendition of it here.  Once there scroll down 24 images to this one and you’ll find the link to the PDF immediately under the image.

Hope you can enjoy the real thing if you haven’t already.  It’s then that reproductions really become special.

Have a great weekend!

Carpe Diem

Seize the Day with this neat stitchery from Maike’s Hobby Blog. Here is the direct link to the original article here.  She has mounted it in a quilt block.  You can pick colors that appeal to you the most, and even change the words for what you want to use.

You can find the chart here.  You will need to scroll down well into the page to see it. It’s in jpg format so be sure to save it off.

Have a good Monday!

DMC Tea Pots

Would you like a pot of tea?  DMC UK shared this from it’s ‘DMC Free Chart Friday’ this week and encouraged us to share it.  I think it’s delightful and hope you do too.  You can stitch the whole sampler or use individual portions of it for a unique stitchery idea.

Let it Rain

Here in the Pacific Northwest we are experiencing a drought, so when I came across this great Noah’s Ark pattern from Just Cross Stitch magazine called “Let It Rain”  I couldn’t resist sharing it with you.  As they say, “…might be the perfect baby shower gift…”, I agree.  I love how they’ve made a border with the words, let it rain. Just go here and they give you the chart and instructions free.

Some lucky mom is going to love it!

Happy Stitching!

Beautiful Design

This is a beautiful design from this Italian site.   I especially like how it is done in variegated floss.  She gives you the chart free on the same page.

I had to use Google translate to read it but the chart is clear even if you cannot convert it the text to your language.  Happy Stitching and Happy week!

Wine Bottle Apron

You may have seen wine bottle aprons before and I thought this one from chez mamigoz was cute.
